On June 10, St. Elie School of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family, presented the outcome of this year’s pilot project of women empowerment, within the frame of the Active Citizenship Community Service engagement with CASZ, TASC and NAFLAH.
The project included training women on IT and AI, as well as opening a space for arts through dance and craft work. This is just a beginning, with the hope that the next years will see the establishment of a sustainable initiative that attracts more women from Zahle and results in building skills that women can activate to generate income or help others with their skills.
Already, the ideas of producing craft work for the annual Ste Famille exhibition, and of becoming present in E-Marketing, are present in the admin’s, teachers’ and students’ reflections.
