On September 7, the first of three sessions with the schools of Zahle was given. The session of 4 hours was on Active and Virtuous Citizenship and on the strategies to integrate it in the curriculum and school activities. The following sessions shall introduce the schools to Al-Saha board game, and will culminate in the launching of community service activities to put in practice the acquired knowledge, skills and values.
The session was attended by the director and two staff members from each of the 10 secondary schools of the city Zahle. This procedure is part of the objectives of the “school aid committee of Zahle” (Comité Aide Scolaire de Zahle – CASZ) , as the goal is to help teachers, schools, parents and students to continue, but also to develop the sense of Active Citizenship among the educators and students. TASC was entrusted to work on this objective and hence the mentioned sessions were launched. The workshops are taking places at the premises of the Municipality of Zahle.
