On November 9, the second of three sessions with the schools of Zahle was animated. The session of 3 hours was on community service activities, to put in practice Active Citizenship concept, and to help make a difference during these difficult times Lebanon is going through.
While the session on Al-Saha board game will be postponed till the beginning of 2025, as the printing of the new version was delayed due to the war events.
The session was attended by the director and two staff members from each of the 10 secondary schools of the city Zahle. This procedure is part of the objectives of the “school aid committee of Zahle”, as the goal is to help teachers, schools, parents and students to continue, but also to develop the sense of Active Citizenship among the educators and students.
Each school is now designing a community service project and the planning will be shared with CASZ and TASC by January 1, 2025 and will then be ready for application.
TASC was entrusted by the “Comité Aide Scolaire” (CASZ) to work on this objective and hence the mentioned sessions were launched. The workshops are taking places at the premises of the Municipality of Zahle.
