On June 2, CASZ (Comite Aide Scolaire de Zahle) and TASC (Teachers as Agents of Social Change) visited the College Oriental Basilien (COB) and received the final feedback on the Upcycling Project.
It was adopted by the school within the Community Service series of project for this year in Zahle, for the sake of enhancement of Active Citizenship (a project by CASZ, TASC and NAFLAH). The college has now established a permanent Upcycling workshop that promises to continue widening the range of creativity in the reuse of material. This year the students focused on creating pots for flowers that were later used to decorate Souk Al Blat (the oldest souk of Zahle) during its reopening and beyond. This activity was particularly meaningful and symbolic since COB is the oldest college of Zahle.
